What We Do

Compost training

Livelihood Empowerment for Women and Youth

We embark on Livelihood Empowerment programs for Women and Youth in deprived communities in Ghana. Visionary Buluk organizes skill training programs for Women and Youth in rural communities to give them employable and or self employable skills, especially in Sustainable Agriculture. This provides decent work for them, as well as prevent them from travelling to urban areas in search of non-existing jobs. That is, contributing to “Farming the rural poor out of poverty“.

We also organize soft skills training in Green Agriculture for the youth to acquire employable soft skills in the green space.

Smallholder women farmers in rural areas are trained in climate resilient Agricultural practices and supported with formal extension services. That is, making these women realize and take   farming as a business. With this initiative, our goal is to promote and make available, the great opportunities in the Agricultural value chain.

MARCH AGAINST CHILD MARRIAGE

Social Protection

Visionary Buluk advocates and organize programs to protect and or support the vulnerable in society, especially women and children, and people with disabilities. We organize Community and School level Educational Programs for women and school children respectively to educate them on their legal and economic rights. Visionary Buluk assist Women and Children in reporting offences against them to the appropriate institutions for redress. We also assist rehabilitation of victims by identifying and enrolling them in available rehabs.

VBO also advocates and sensitize in various spaces against forced and early marriages, as well as demystify some entrenched myths about these practices.

Visionary Buluk Organization implements Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) project in collaboration with our partners, focusing on children and household health.
